You Had Me At "Air Fryer" - Making the Best Air Fryer Wings Ever

Far too often I hear the phrase "there's nothing special about wings, they're just chicken." To these naysayers I say poppycock! Chicken wings are the caviar of the poultry world - succulent, slightly fatty, and oh-so-flavorful. And when cooked properly, they can be absolutely transcendent.  And we're gonna show you how to cook them in an air fryer!  By the way, check out our article on the Best Air Fryers for a Family of Four!

Unfortunately, all too often they are overcooked and dry, or undercooked and greasy. But have no fear, dear reader! This comprehensive guide will show you how to make the best air fryer wings that you've ever tasted. So preheat your air fryer and let's get started!

The first step is to decide what kind of wings you want. Do you want them spicy? Sweet? Salty? The possibilities are endless! Once you've decided on a flavor profile, it's time to choose your sauce. There are many great commercial sauces available, or you can make your own (I like to add a little honey and Sriracha to my BBQ sauce for a sweet and spicy flavor).  But don't add that sauce just yet!!

Next, it's time to cook those wings! I personally like to start by seasoning my wings with a little salt, pepper, and paprika. Then I place them in the air fryer basket and cook them at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes, flipping them once halfway through. While the wings are cooking, I like to prepare my sauce by heating it up in a pan on the stove.

Once the wings are cooked through, I like to toss them in the sauce until they're evenly coated. Then I put them back in the air fryer for another few minutes just to set the sauce. And that's it! You're now ready to enjoy the best air fryer wings you've ever tasted. Serve with a cold beer or iced tea and enjoy!

There you have it! Now go forth and fry those wings with confidence knowing that you'll be serving up deliciousness that would make even the most hardened wing critic swoon. And if you're really feeling adventurous, why not experiment with different flavors and sauces until you find your perfect wing recipe? The sky's the limit!
